Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is a unique item that can make certain Pokemon change. The Upgrade can be obtained by spinning a photo disc, and is often offered as a reward in Pokemon GO events.
The Upgrade can also be placed in armor, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to boost their level of use. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests, based on the kind of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools to provide attributes bonuses or other effects when the equipment is being used. Upgrade components are only available on equipment with an upgrade slot. The majority of upgrade components require that the item to be upgraded is at a certain level. Some upgrade components have special visual effects that appear when they are applied. Upgrade components can be obtained by crafting, purchased from karma traders or traded with other players on the Trading Post or used to repair equipment, or obtained as rewards in game.
Various upgrade components are available, each of which offers various bonuses. Universal upgrades such as gems and inscriptions can be used on any kind of equipment. They provide smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade component. Infusions can be used on non-amulet or legendary ascended items, while enrichments can be used on some back equipment that has been ascended. Most upgrade components can be replaced when they are slotted into an item, however doing so can destroy the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs which can only be inserted into gathering tools, and enchantments. Both are able to be removed and reinserted.
Insignias, enchantments, and upgrades with prefixes or suffixes will be displayed in the hover display of the item while they are added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia could change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components that have been added to an item will be visible in the tooltip of the item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to add functional and decorative elements to an OpenType font. These include ligatures, fractions, or ornaments, as well as registered trademark symbols, ellipses and swashes as well as swashes. The Glyphs panel lets you see and insert these particular characters, as well as standard glyphs such as em dashes and en dashes, registered trademark symbols and glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph provides a character with a boost in their primary stats. It also comes with up to four Secondary Stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage boost that is multiplied by other bonuses, excluding Speed Glyphs that directly increase the hero’s speed.
Selecting the Glyphs and clicking "enchant" will activate them. This will display a new window with the Glyphs you own that can be applied to the item you have selected. You only need to apply the correct Glyph to the item you are looking for. Each weapon or jewelry piece has its own collection of Glyphs.
You can level up Glyphs by finishing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more challenging the dungeon is, the greater the amount of Glyph experience that you will earn. Once a Glyph reaches level 15, it can be upgraded at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board grows by one node for every 15 levels at which a Glyph is upgraded.
Once a Glyph has reached the desired level, you can activate it. Select it and click the "enchant button". The resulting Glyph will give its stated bonus, and also boost all other nodes in its radius on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should go where they can benefit your build the most. This is why you should prioritise Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Rare glyphs, however, may offer dual bonuses if certain conditions are fulfilled and therefore are worth checking out for too.
If you're having difficulty finding a particular glyph click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a number of views. Each of these views displays the Glyphs in a different font. You can narrow down the selection of glyphs by choosing an option beneath "Entire Font". For instance, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols restricts the choices to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process of creating an account on a different account to increase your chances of acquiring a character or weapon you'd like. This can be done to help you level up faster or to obtain more loot, for example, a better weapon for your current character. Many players reroll until they get the characters that they like, regardless of their power. It could be because they like the style or personality of the character.
It is important to make clean changes when you roll back. This means you should verify locally that the patch is able to pass the pre-commit checks, and you should also conduct a core development test. You should upload the patch with a plain difference to a bug (see What is an interdiff?) ).
Rerolls can take a few days or weeks depending on how lucky you are. To save time avoid the enemy camps which are not mandatory during this time. It is also recommended to avoid repeating quests that can be completed later on in the game. This can help you save time and energy.
Another important aspect to consider when rerolling is to be sure that you are aware of the upgrade system. There are a variety of ways to boost your character's power and appearance. This could include upgrading your weapons, rerolling your characters and buying upgrades. It is also important to be aware of the limitations of the system.
Rerolling may not be an absolute requirement however it can be an effective way to increase your chances of obtaining an item or character. It could be beneficial if you're looking for the most effective character to play or if you're looking to try out different styles of play and builds.
Sets
A set is an object collection that has 2 common attributes (like the number or eggs in a dozen or the members of a group). Sets allow for operations like intersection, union and difference.
When you upgrade a set item, it is an entirely new version that is better than the previous one. For armor and weapons this means it will gain a higher base defense value as well as less strength requirements and an lower level requirement.
Upgrades can bring well-known items from single sets to parity with items in higher-level sets. For example, upgrading Guillaume's Face Helm to Elite Spired Helm boosts the defense from 217 to 321 while reducing the strength requirement and level requirement to a lower range.
It's important to remember that not all items in a set are suitable for upgrading. Some sets, like the FB Sorc Whistan's shield and Naj's puzzler staff are already Exceptional in their own rights and don't require upgrading. On the other hand, some items that are BiS and see frequent use (like Goldwrap) may benefit by being upgraded to boost their stats even more. It could be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
